The driver of a Bentley who is suspected of stealing the pricey car was taken in to custody late Tuesday after a brief chase, said Miami Beach police.

Police said the incident began at 4th Street and Washington Avenue in Miami Beach.

After a brief chase, police stopped the Bentley at Northwest 76th Street and 12th Avenue in Northwest Miami-Dade.

Police said the driver tried running from the car but was caught.

Officers took the driver in to custody.

Miami-Dade police was on scene assisting Miami Beach police officers in their investigation.

Police believe the car was either stolen or that the driver carjacked it.
